On June 8, 2024, we met in Jena for the general meeting of the O.C.C. On saturday we had a nice field trip to the nature reserve Leutratal where we found flowering orchids, like Gymnadenia, Ophrys apifera, Listera ovata and Cephalanthera rubra. Only a few members were present at the general meeting. We were afraid that we would have to dissolve the OCC. But we have a working board again, Dr. Gerhard Döring will continue working for two years. In the year 2026 the World Orchid Conference will take place in Dresden, Germany, and we will present the O.C.C. on this occasion. We will see if this will bring us new collectors for our hobby and new members for the O.C.C.




The 24th World Orchid Conference will take place in Dresden, Germany, from 26 to 29 March 2026. It is a great honor for the German Orchid Society to be able to host this international event in Germany. We would like to cordially invite you today to visit this great event.
